When the Decision Became Mine

There was a time when every major decision I made passed through a committee before it ever reached God. Family. Employers. Mentors. Circumstances disguised as “wisdom.”

Recently, I found myself at another crossroads — one familiar, one uncertain. The familiar asked for endurance. The uncertain asked for trust.

For the first time, I didn’t ask anyone what I should do. I didn’t negotiate my peace or explain myself into exhaustion. I chose clarity over obligation, and discernment over fear.

Some decisions aren’t about outcomes. They’re about alignment. This one reminded me that God is doing the work — and I am the first to witness it.
